We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity in our downtown Toronto office:




The Underwriting Support Specialist is a critical member of the National Surety Team, providing operational and administrative support to a growing team of Surety Underwriters across Canada.

  • Full professional fluency in both French and English

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities

  • A logical, process oriented work style with a passion for excellence and detail orientation

  • Exceptional working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook


  • Review documents for data entry
  • Prepare documents, presentations and reports as required
  • Generate monthly reports, review for accuracy and distribute to internal and external clients
  • Analyze various reports to support operations and assist underwriters to deliver exceptional service to our client broker
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with brokers
  • Assist underwriters to deliver exceptional service to our client brokers


  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree, Commerce, Business Administration or related field preferred

  • Bilingual English/French required

  • 1-2 years business experience an asset

  • Experience in a legal environment an asset
