The Executive Director provides leadership by working closely with the Council Board and staff within a Policy Governance framework to achieve the goals and strategic vision of the Council. He/she is responsible for building upon a high-performing organization that regulates the profession, protects the public interest, and establishes and maintains positive relationships with members, industry, government, and other stakeholders. The Executive Director establishes a clear, confident direction in the province and takes a prominent leadership role on a national stage for the evolvement of the industry. The Executive Director ensures efficient operations, proper regulation, ongoing promotion and growth, risk management and effective succession management of the organization.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience in a regulatory, multi-stakeholder environment, with some exposure to the financial services industry. She/he will have demonstrated success in leading an organization both strategically and at a hands-on management level. An ability to create consensus and move the mission and vision of The Council forward in an increasingly complex environment.
